Hello Antonio, can you tell us about your musical background and
how you got started in singing?
Hello, since I was little I always liked to write the emotions of my heart in poems in a notebook and I structured these poems in the form of a song in my mind and then I read them out loud and I invented melodies and recorded them on a tape recorder. That was my very humble and discreet beginnings.
Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they
shaped your style?
I have always liked the great Spanish-language melodic singers of the 70s and the English groups and singers of the 80s for the depth of their melodies, but in my style what predominates is love and I do not imitate anyone because each song is a different emotion from the other.
What is the process you go through when writing or selecting songs to perform?
The process I follow is very simple, I simply listen to the voice of my heart and I write and compose and I am not guided by any trend, only by the heart... and then together with my team we polish and review everything because everyone's opinion is very important.
How do you prepare for a performance, both physically and mentally?
I don't really follow any rituals. The only thing I know is that I have to interpret a story in a song and I have to feel it so that it reaches the heart of just one person who listens to me. With that, I feel happy.
Can you describe a memorable performance or tour experience that stands out
to you? Once I presented a song on TV and the technical aspect failed all of a sudden and I had to sing my song with guitar and voice and people liked it and it was very funny.
What challenges have you faced in your career, and how have you overcome them?
I don't compete with any artist or anyone, I just make my music because the biggest challenge I have is trying to excite and make the public feel with each song.
How do you handle criticism and feedback about your music or performances?
I take it well because you always learn from everything and also the public is the one who rules because thanks to the audience you can do this job.
Can you share any upcoming projects or releases you’re excited about? I'm preparing a new work and all the songs are in English.
What role does social media play in your career, and how do you use it to connect with fans?
I know that social networks are important and although I don't go on many of them, I always pay attention and post news.
How do you maintain vocal health and keep your voice in top shape?
In the simplest way, drinking lots of water, avoiding air conditioning, eating healthy, sleeping enough and leading a healthy life.
What’s the most rewarding part of being a singer for you?
To see just one person get excited about a song, that's what's wonderful.
How do you stay inspired and motivated to create new music?
I always stay inspired thanks to love in all its facets, both positive and negative, because love is everything to me.
Can you describe your experience working with producers and other collaborators?
I like teamwork because I believe that together we all always achieve something rewarding and I listen to all opinions and apply what they advise me.
What advice would you give to aspiring singers trying to break into the industry?
The only advice is humility and respect for the public because it is thanks to the public that we work.
How do you balance your personal life with the demands of your singing career?
I always have time to be with my friends and family and I can disconnect very easily because I always try to stay in touch with them wherever I am.
